Mumbai City just recently was a witness to one of the most horrid summers and the heat is still on. It was a rocking 39 degrees late Monday afternoon where I felt the pinch of the temperature in Mumbai. It has been a hot summer and things just seem to be getting worst.
On one hand we have the dried up lakes that is causing water shortage and on the other hand we have the scorching heat that can’t let us come out of our homes and offices. Just thinking of the heat is enough to crank up the air conditioning. If you are planning to visit Mumbai City this summer – Stay Away! It’s not the time. Wait till the monsoons set in. That is if we get the monsoons.
I bet the last month has caused a lot of casualties in and around the city. Surprisingly I have not seen it on the NEWS as yet. These damn news channels and their ‘Breaking News – Cow Eats Mobile Phone’ crap! Where is the real news? Where are the weather girls? Where are the Bikinis? Can’t even head to Shimla now – Have you seen the temperature there?
It is going to be a long hot summer. Hope the monsoons kick in soon. I personally will dive into even a puddle if it forms. Heat! Heat! Go Away, To The Rain Gods I Pray. Where’s my gola-wala?
