It goes without saying that the lifeline of Mumbai is its enormous railway network that spreads across the entire city and has a number of reasons for its ability to be able to find the best possible ways for citizens of Mumbai City to commute. The railways of Mumbai City have been around for years where it originally began during the British era that rolled between CST and Thane. Today, times have changed and so have the varieties in the number of features that have contributed to the overall development of the city.

Commuting in Mumbai City has been prescribed as the need of the hour as a great number of people travel to and fro on a daily basis. The city as we know it today stretches out from South Mumbai ie CST, Churchgate and moves towards the northern regions of Virar on the western line. Every day, almost a million Mumbaikars travel up and down. Some off to college, others off to work and others traveling to get to their destination. The Mumbai Railways as we know it is one of the most trusted and well managed systems over the world where no other railway network has managed to even come close to it. This is why Mumbai City has remained as the number in terms of its Railways. There is simply no match towards this lifeline of My Mumbai City.
