The city of Mumbai has always been managing to outperform itself. When it comes to construction and revamping the streets, there has never been anything more than being able to find the most brilliant city which is rich in its varied heritage and ability to live as one. A quick glance at the today’s Map of Mumbai would let you know how well the city has developed over the ages. There have been plenty of milestones which have been achieved over the years where people are consistently looking out for a way to make sure that this metropolitan is capable of elevating itself. The Mumbai Map today is far more advanced than it ever was. Google Earth and Wikimapia of the city show us so much which was hardly unimaginable a few years ago. Back in the heyday, no one would ever dream that so much would come to the city. From mega malls to high rise buildings, from state of the art sea links to nightlife entertainment spots – Mumbai has managed to live up to a name which has been established over the years.
Of course this city has been through a lot. I remember the bomb blasts, the communal riots and much more. But today I am proud to call myself a Mumbaikar after managing to overcome all those petty little problems which we once thought were so serious. I am proud of the fact that Mumbai has managed to effectively transform itself into not just a developed metro but a very open minded society. At the same time, there is so much that is left to do. Developing this city is a continuous process and it depends upon the availability of knowing precisely where and when the next step towards society needs to be formulated. Like me I guarantee that there are a plethora of other Mumbaikars that believe that there will be a lot of changes that will surface on the Mumbai Map and will revolutionize this city for more years to come.
