The CBI have done it again. The anti corruption bureau of the CBI have cracked open a case that has the Chief Postmaster – Manjit Singh Bali in a soup. Recently, the CBI raided the home of the Chief Post Master general who allegedly has been questioned of incorporating a bribe of around INR 2 Crore. Apart from the many items that were seized in the development of the raid, there was also a NOC development for 2000 sq metre plot which needed to be sanctioned.

Fact of the matter is that Manjit Singh resides in a posh neighborhood at Napeansea Road and earns a salary of around 1 Lakh a year. When the question arises as to why he would demand more money in a bribe, a senior postal officer who did not want to be mentioned – greed.  Apart from Manjit Singhs arrest, Shankarrao Uke, a clerk has also been arrested for having been an alleged accomplice.  In totality, there have been a number of items sized from the homes of the Chief Postmaster which can be seen in the images below.

Mumbai has been battling corruption for a long time and it is raids like this that puts back the perspective that the city is finally developing. Kudos to the CBI team for cracking open this case and we hope that they continue to apprehend all those that are looting the city of its hard earned money.
