Navi Mumbai is one of those reputed establishments in the city as it slowly and gradually comes alive with its varied buildings and entertainment hotspots. It is for this very reason that real estate prices are on the rise in the city where a great number of people have been seeking a way to ensure that they can ensure a better life for their families. With a better demographic of population heading towards Navi Mumbai, there has been a tremendous need for the best of security measures so as to ensure the safety of residents living in high rise buildings. For this purpose the MMRDA carried out inspections in the localities of Navi Mumbai where they were surprised to see that most of the skyscrapers did not offer valid development strategies for security purposes.
It has been noted that the buildings in the Navi Mumbai district have been unable to work out safety measures for its citizens. There are no proper fire escapes, neither is there any means to cope with an emergency. This matter has been taken with a pinch of salt by the MMRDA where they are questioning the development projects undertaken by builders and housing society developers.
Residents of the neighborhood have also been in the questionable front and are filing RTI papers so as to ensure that the right measures can be undertaken. The Housing Corporation of Mumbai has also taken this matter strictly as they formulate the rules and regulations to be ensured effectively by builders and developers. As Navi Mumbai is the new heart of the city, it remains to be seen whether the strategies implemented by the housing corporations would be able to feature a rich structure in their attempt to maintain an alleviated sense of security and safety.
